Service Description
You will be connected with an Online Notary Public that has been duly appointed and commissioned and has received authorization by the secretary of state to perform online notarizations. A document notarized online is as legally valid as one notarized via traditional in-person. (Yes, even vehicle titles) How does it work? 1. Email your Documents (You will get an email with detailed instructions after you book) 2. Verify your Identity. (Answer 5 ID Questions, upload your ID, Take a Selfie) 3. Join the Video. 4. Sign (Digitally - You Do Not Physically Sign Your Document before the Session). 5. Download your Notarized Documents. Valid UNEXPIRED Identification is required* (Driver License, State ID Card, or U.S. Passport**). Can be completed on your laptop or smart phone. Save a clear copy of your ID (front and back) to the device you will be using BEFORE the session for ID verification. Must answer 5 knowledge-based questions about themselves (Timed Quiz). Must at least lived in U.S. in the past 3-5yrs. Each signer needs their own email and device. *If the signer does not have valid ID, a credible witness may be used to swear to the identity of the signer. Credible witness will need valid ID. **Must note if you are using a passport when booking. This service includes the Online Notary session and a single notarization. Each additional notarization is $10. If a witness is required, it will be $5 per witness (please note in your request if this is needed). *Power of Attorney Signings will be an additional $25 due to the extra time typically required Do I need to be in Arizona? No. You can be anywhere in the world as long as the Notary is located in their commissioned state. What states allow remote notarization? As of 11/14/2022, 43 states have passed remote notarization laws. Those states include Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
Cancellation Policy
For mobile service: If a trip is made and the signer is not able to sign (has expired ID, is not coherent, document is already notarized, etc.) a trip fee will be charged. Trip fee varies upon location (starting at $20). For online service: If a session is created and the signer is unable to sign (has expired ID, is not coherent, is unable to pass ID verification, etc.) a $10 fee will be charged for the ID credits purchased by the notary to create the session.
